Booking Smokey Marshmallow on this site is the same cabin, same hosts and same dates as the Airbnb and Vrbo listings, without the platform service fee. The calendar is synced with both, checkout runs through Stripe, and your card is authorized but not charged until we confirm, usually within a couple of hours.

How the calendar stays honest
Airbnb and Vrbo publish their bookings to us and we publish ours to them. On top of the regular sync, this site re-reads both calendars the moment you click Book. If a night was taken in those few minutes, you see it immediately and nothing is authorized. If it somehow slips through, the hold is released before any charge, and we email you.

How is my payment protected?
Payments run through Stripe, the same processor behind most online checkouts. We never see your card number. Your card is authorized, not charged, until we confirm your dates.
What if the dates get taken while I am booking?
Our calendar re-checks Airbnb and Vrbo the moment you click Book. In the rare case a night is taken in those minutes, we release the authorization immediately and email you.
Do I get a damage deposit charged?
That depends on the policy shown at checkout. If a refundable deposit applies, it is a temporary authorization placed shortly before arrival and released after check-out.
